Made in Jablonec 2025 showed how many different conversations can happen between glassmaking and fashion design. PRECIOSA ORNELA presented seventeen looks with designers and art schools.

Subtitled “Fashion Without Limits,” the show brought glassmakers, jewelry designers, fashion ateliers, and students together at the Jablonec Eurocentre in late January. Glass was the shared material across seventeen looks, but embroidery, appliqué, stringing, and independent jewelry applications gave each chapter a different fashion language.

Surfaces in motion

Clothed in Seed Beads builds its handmade dress and jewelry around movement and the Autumn/Winter 2025–26 colors. Rocailles and other glass beads are not simply fixed to cloth; strings travel away from and back toward the body as the model walks, creating a volume that is never completely still.

The Elegance of Seed Beads layers embroidery, appliqué, and stringing within one dress. Two-Cut beads, Cut Rocailles, Terra Intensive Lining, and fire-polished forms do not reflect light in the same direction, so the surface changes with every step. Richness comes from the interaction between cuts rather than material count alone.

From evening to sports

Bead Refinement uses the 2025 Future Dusk color across an embellished handbag and more formal jewelry, while a second look moves into warmer honey tones. Candy shapes, Rocailles, and other beads make the accessory a continuation of the dress rather than a separate finishing piece.

Pavel Jevula Studio delivers one of the clearest stylistic breaks. Gold meets silver and sports references meet more formal dress, with tubes, Rocailles, and fire-polished beads holding those opposites together. It is direct evidence that glass beads are not inherently romantic or ceremonial.

A new generation of decisions

The art-school chapters widen the range again. Students in Jablonec nad Nisou enlarge detail through assertive beaded bracelets, while the Pilsen school pairs a pink dress with silver Rocailles and imitation pearls for a more romantic direction. Even within an educational setting, proportion, color, and accessory decisions produce distinct outcomes.

The seventeen looks are most useful when read technique by technique rather than reduced to one trend statement. Free strings create movement, dense embroidery builds surface, appliqué produces graphic emphasis, and unexpected material pairings shift style. The official archive identifies the design teams and product families and provides a larger gallery for close comparison.
